Causes and solutions of high temperature rise of micro DC motor

1. The stator winding is short circuited or grounded between turns or phases, which increases the current, increases the loss regulation and overheats. If the fault is not serious, just re wrap the insulation, and replace the winding if it is serious.

2. If the bearing is damaged or worn too much, so that the stator and rotor collide, check whether the bearing is loose and whether the stator and rotor are poorly assembled.

3. If the voltage exceeds the rated voltage of DC motor by more than 10%, or is lower than the rated voltage of DC motor by more than 5%, the DC motor is easy to heat under the rated load and the temperature rise increases, the voltage shall be checked and adjusted.

4. Broken bars of cage rotor or loose coil joints of wound rotor cause excessive current of maintenance network and heating. The copper bar rotor can be welded or replaced, and the cast aluminum rotor should be replaced.
